Prior to joining DOS, François had a long career in the French Navy with a specialization in the search for objects on the seabed (mine countermeasures warfare.)

After a specialization in acoustic detection and mine hunting; his last position led him to work at CEPHISMER* as ROV supervisor (ventilation of sub-marines in distress, expertise, wreck recovery, black box recovery).
